With anti-bullying week coming up, I'd like to draw attention to this anti-bullying picture book, written and illustrated by my kids...

On a path in a park not far from here, there was a lonely little puddle. Bullied by the raindrops, ignored by passers-by, all he wanted was someone to play with, but no one seemed to care. Then one day, a little girl in a red raincoat came through the park gate...

Bella and the Lonely Puddle was written by Grace Bastable when she was eleven, and illustrated by her sister Eleanor, who was fourteen. It's an anti-bullying tale showing children that it takes only one kind act to make an unhappy person happy for a while.

The girls have decided to give 50p to Kidscape for every book ordered this month from Amazon.
