Votes for Schools (http://www.votesforschools.com) is a new initiative designed to make removed the burden of preparing SMSC resources and simultaneously engage pupils in current affairs. Every week, Votes for Schools provides teachers with a set of lesson materials, lesson plans, cross-curricular suggestions and an SMSC reference guide to demonstrate how lessons are meeting curriculum needs.

Students get to participate in debates on such topics as Brexit, the US presidential election and whether mobile phones should be banned in schools. Not only do they get to discuss these topics but they can also cast their vote on an online platform. Teachers can then look at the results each week and compare them to regional and national results.

If you would like to know more, please go to our site (http://www.votesforschools.com) or send an email to info@votesforschools.com.
