Cunning plan to make PGCE course easier?

Postby Tekko on Sat Mar 13, 2010 4:06 pm

Hi

I've applied for PGCE Religious Education, and word has it that the PGCE course is so work-intensive that students
barely have any free time. That doesn't appeal to me, so I'm wondering if those who have done the PGCE would be kind enough to comment on the following cunning plan ...

There's about six months to go until the start of the course. In those six months I studiously read up and take notes on all of the sheer factual stuff that PGCE students must learn, thus lessening the study/learning/time load when I'm actually on the course.

Is this cunning plan sound? And, if so, what else could I do prior to the course to the same effect?
