PGCE

Postby simon on Sat Jul 31, 2010 3:22 pm

Hi,

Could someone please explain to me the difference between PGCE and PGDE. Is one for Scotland and one for England? Does either one exclude me from being able to teach in either Scotland or England?

Also I have got a 2:2 politics degree as well as a masters in Real Esatate Development and Management. Ideally I would like to teach politics but I am aware from reading another post that you cannot do a PGCE in politics, due to the fact that it is not a very popular subject.

I would therefore be interested in teaching history, but is this possible? Ideally I would like to teach some politics classes and some history classes.

Any help would be much appreciated.
