Jan start waiting for QTS certificate

Hi After completing my academic studies a few year ago I had to defer my final placement I have just completed my final placement this last term, and start my nqt year in a Y4 class in January. I Was told my QTS certificate would be available around 2 weeks after I fifnished however today I was informed that this was incorrect and my QTS has to wait until after the Feb exam board they say this should not cause too much problems with my employer and should be ok to start in Jan. I am now worried that they won't allow me to start my post in Jan because of this and that I am all ready to.
If you have any advice on what might happen that would be great.
