Dealing with lazy students

Postby fleur3987 on Sun Apr 07, 2019 5:54 am

Recently, some students have been telling me the ones that make the most noise in class are the ones that said out loud that they don't like the subject I am teaching, that is, Spanish. They are form 1 students and just arrived this year. The uninterested ones went to report to the form teacher that i give the ones taking private tuition more marks than the. I actually have nothing to justify as they are just students and I can see they are quite weak in the language so deserve the marks that they got.

What can I say to tell them shut up from gossiping?

I would consider telling them that their final grade may suffer by spreading false rumors. Or you can "punish" them by making them read aloud in front of the class. You can come up with creative ways for dealing with this behavior.
