Fundraising Idea

Postby Z80184111 on Mon Feb 16, 2009 7:31 pm

Our school has successfully held two fashion shows and raised over $1000.00 at each event. All you need to do is sell the event and provide the school hall along with models which is ideally parents or teachers at your school. The money you make from the ticket sales is your plus 10% commission of the total clothes sales on the night. The event was fun and professionally put together. If anybody is interested I have the details: 07920180867.

Your fundraising participants need to communicate to each prospect the exact nature of the community benefit.
To use the PTA example, a potential supporter should immediately be informed of the amount of school supplies their funds will provide.

We used class fundraising to do Christmas cards, which proved popular, they also did gift tags that were a bit cheaper to buy, which was important as we have a lot of poorer families, really easy and pretty straight forward to do, no initial outlay, delivery was a bit slow, but it was in the middle of all the snow we had!

I just signed up for a free subscription to Parent & Teacher Magazine (http://www.parentandteacher.co.uk/subscribe/) specifically for their fundraising info. Not sure how long its free for though so if this stops working, sorry!

Simon.
